POLICE have arrested two people for criminal damage after a Bradford city centre bank was daubed in red paint earlier this week.

The incident, which saw red paint daubed on the side of the building, main doors and cash machine at Barclays on Market Street, happened in the early hours of Monday morning.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police investigating an incident of criminal damage at Barclays Bank on Monday, June 3, on Market Street, Bradford, have made two arrests.

"A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in police custody at this time.

"A woman aged 54 was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

"Enquiries are ongoing by Bradford CID."
