A person has been left with head injuries after an early morning crash in the Great Horton area of Bradford.

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene on Gathorne Street, just off Great Horton Road, at 12.13am today (Tuesday, June 4).

Two vehicles had crashed and one person was trapped, the fire service reported.

One person was taken to hospital with head injuries after being rescued from the vehicle.

Two other people were already out of the vehicle when the fire service arrived.

A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision with person trapped.

"One casualty with head injuries was extricated by the fire service and transported to hospital by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

"Two casualties were out of the vehicle upon fire service arrival.

"Crews made the scene safe."
