POLICE have issued an appeal after a motorbike rider was injured in a serious crash.

A report was received at 12.12am on Sunday, June 2, of a collision involving a blue Volkswagen Fox car and a Sur-Ron electric motorcycle on Thornton Road at the junction with Olive Grove.

The rider of the electric bike sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses who have not already come forward.

They are also asking anyone who was in the area to check their dash cam or CCTV footage around the time of the collision to see whether they have captured this incident or the involved vehicles immediately prior to the collision.
