A BRADFORD city centre cafe has shut after 11 years.

Refresh, which opened on Cheapside back in 2013, closed yesterday.

Bosses say the cafe and community has "held a special place in our hearts for the last 11 years".

They added that it is "unfortunate that we must close the doors".

The business announced the news with a Facebook post.

Many customers were left feeling sad about the closure.

One said: "Gutted! (I) loved coming for lunch on Saturdays, all the best for the future whatever it may bring you."

Another added: "The best coffee & service! I am super sad to see you go."

The post read: "Goodbye Bradford!

"Dear Refresh customers, we wish to thank you for your patronage.

"This café and this community has held a special place in our hearts for the last 11 years.

"It is unfortunate that we must close the doors on Friday, May 31, but we would like you all to know how much we have appreciated your business and your support.

"Sincerely, Chris & Sam."
