THE parliamentary General Election writs were delivered to Bradford's City Hall today.
The writs, which come from the Clerk of the Crown, are the official request for a parliamentary election to be run in the Bradford, Keighley and Ilkley and Shipley constituencies.

The writ is the legal document that authorises the holding of a general election and are issued declaring that an election is to be held in each constituency.
They were delivered to Councillor Bev Mullaney, the Lord Mayor of Bradford, who has the role of Parliamentary Returning Officer for the Bradford East, Bradford West and Bradford South constituencies.
The High Sheriff of West Yorkshire Professor Adeeba Malik CBE DL is Returning Officer for Keighley and Ilkley and Shipley constituencies.
