THE search for Bradford’s best fish and chip shop continues and we can now reveal our finalists as nominated by Telegraph & Argus readers.

We asked readers to share which chippy they thought should take the crown and were inundated with responses.

We received a huge 2,237 nominations through our online voting platform, and they have now been whittled down to the final 10, with chippies from across the district represented.

One thousand of those nominations were received in just one day, showing just how passionate people in Bradford are about championing the fish and chip shops they think are doing a great job.

"It's great to see that so many people across our patch are keen to help us recognise and celebrate the fabulous friers in our communities,” said Nigel Burton, editor of the Telegraph & Argus.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

He added: “In Bradford district, there's no doubt that we love our chippies.

"Whether it's traditional fish & chips, battered sausage, pies or a chip butty, the Bradford district's chippies are always popular.

"That’s why we are delighted to launch the search for the Best Chippy. So, what are you waiting for? Get voting now!”
