FIREFIGHTERS pulled a man out of water in a rescue operation last night.
Crews from Bingley, Halifax, Illingworth and Rastrick were called to Copley Lane, Halifax, shortly after 7pm yesterday.
The man who was rescued was taken to hospital.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "This was a rescue from water.
"The casualty was an adult male.
"The person was rescued by firefighters pulling them physically from the water.
"They were left in the hands of Yorkshire Ambulance Service."
All fire crews had left the scene by around 8.45pm.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service added: "An ambulance and team leader responded to an incident in Copley Lane, Halifax, last night, where a person had been rescued from water.
"The patient was conveyed to Calderdale Royal Hospital."
