ENQUIRIES are ongoing after police were called to reports of an assault in Bradford earlier this week.

West Yorkshire Police said officers were called to "reports of an assault" on Haworth Road shortly before 1.20am on Tuesday.

According to officers, the "victim had left the scene" when police arrived.

"He later presented himself in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries to his hand," a force spokesperson told the Telegraph & Argus on Tuesday morning.

A police scene was in place for several hours on Tuesday - with a cordon blocking entry to a section of Haworth Road both ways, from Thorn Lane to Thorn Drive.

Today, the police spokesperson said no arrests had yet been made in connection with this matter and that enquiries were ongoing.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact West Yorkshire Police by calling 101 or visiting www.westyorkshire.police.uk/livechat, quoting 89 of May 28.
