POLICE have revealed why they seized a car after stopping it on a major road in Bradford.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team stopped the Honda Civic on Rooley Lane.
A spokesperson for the team said the driver showed an insurance document but "so many discrepancies were present" and it was believed to be false.
The vehicle was seized and the driver was reported to court, the spokesperson added.
It is illegal to drive a vehicle on a road or in a public place without at least third party insurance.
Punishments can include a substantial fine, points on your licence and even a disqualification from driving.
West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team operates across the Bradford district, deploying officers seven days a week in cars and on bikes.
They work as part of Operation Steerside, which was launched in the region in 2016 to tackle crimes on the roads.
