SIGNS saying a new "bigger" Primark store will be opening in The Broadway later this year have appeared.
The company has been working on its new store in the former Debenhams unit at the shopping centre.
It is preparing for a move from its current two-floor unit at Kirkgate Shopping Centre.
The centre, owned by Bradford Council, will be demolished once Primark moves to The Broadway, and Kirkgate Market traders move into the new Darley Street Market. A date for the centre’s closure and demolition has yet to be set.
Over the last few weeks, signs for the new store have been seen on the exterior of the unit.
Now Primark's branding is starting to appear inside The Broadway.
The arches and windows around the shop's entrance are now blue.
A poster reads: "Our new bigger store is opening Autumn 2024."
What Primark has said
A spokesperson for Primark told the Telegraph & Argus in December last year: "Works are underway at Primark Bradford's new location in The Broadway shopping centre as we prepare for our move.
"We're excited to welcome our Bradford shoppers to the new look store next year and will share more details in due course.
"In the meantime, customers can continue to enjoy shopping in our Primark Bradford store in the Kirkgate Shopping Centre and can also go online to check availability before heading into store."
