POLICE are appealing for information following a fatal crash.
It happened at around 9.15pm on Tuesday, May 8, when a blue Jaguar XF and red Audi TT were in collision at the junction of Wakefield Road and Coal Pit Lane.
The driver of the Jaguar, an 84-year-old man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, but sadly passed away on Wednesday, May 15.
Officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are appealing for witnesses and are keen to hear from anyone with dashcam who travelled between Lidl on Wakefield Road to the junction with Coal Pit Lane - or anyone who may have been travelling on Coal Pit Lane in the direction of Wakefield Road - shortly before 9.15pm.
