A CHILD has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after they were involved in a crash as they waited to cross a road.
Police were called to the collision on Kings Cross Road, Halifax, at around 11.30am today.
Officers said the child pedestrian was waiting to cross the road at the time of the crash.
They were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
West Yorkshire Police said enquiries were ongoing.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 11.31am, police were called to a road traffic collision on King Cross Road, Halifax, involving a child pedestrian.
"The child was waiting to cross the road at the time of the collision and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"The road has since reopened and enquiries are ongoing."
