The Rose and Crown reopens in Sunbridgewells, Bradford

After a year vacant, The Rose and Crown inside Sunbridgewells opened its doors once again on Friday evening.

The traditional pub is now being run by the owner of the complex Harry Hall and his team, consisting of Karen Hall, Rebecca Dakin, and Kayley Stanger.

"This has always been a traditional pub," he told the Telegraph & Argus.

One of the seating areas (Image: Newsquest)"You look at the furniture and the fittings, we have got a knight on the wall. There is so much history in this building alone.

"This has to be a pub. It is not a cocktail or jazz bar. People know it as a pub and that is what they want."

It offers a wide range of alcoholic beverages for punters to enjoy while they soak in the old-school feel.

Mr Hall added: "People may have not seen it before or want to relive a few memories.

"It has been shut for a year so we thought we would run it ourselves.

"We are giving it a go and hopefully it turns into a success."

The Telegraph & Argus also spoke to Mr Hall in-depth about running Sunbridgewells on the ground now that he has returned to Bradford from Australia.
