EMPLOYEES of a long-standing Bradford company claim they have been “left in limbo” after they were told to collect their belongings and sent home with a letter containing only brief details.

Connect Precision Limited was sold on May 13, 2024, according to a letter staff received when turning up for work at the premises in Rutland Street, Broomfields, on the edge of the city centre, on Tuesday.

It explained directors Eric Kolodner, Timothy Brooksbank, and Jonathan Frewin, as well as secretary Mark Robertshaw, were no longer involved with the business, or Connect Precision Holdings Limited.

The note revealed the new director/owner is Neville Taylor and told staff to contact his correspondence address in Telford.

Many staff have worked at the engineering firm – which makes metalwork for customers – for a long period of time.

One employee, who has been there for more than a decade and wished to remain anonymous, feels “devastated” at the situation and “can’t get my head round it at the moment”.

They said: “Everybody is shocked and gutted because we’ve worked hard."

The note makes no mention of what happens next for the employees and only provides a postal address for the new director, Mr Taylor.

The registered address for Connect Precision changed on May 14 from the premises in Bradford to the Telford location detailed in the letter handed to employees.

When the Telegraph & Argus visited the Bradford building on Friday, it was locked up.

The staff member is concerned if they will get paid at the end of the month and is unsure about looking for a new job with such uncertainty over their situation.

They said: “It’s left us in limbo.”

They added: “We still have not got our P45, we’ve got nothing.

“I’m in limbo, I can’t do anything at the moment.”

Connect Precision was founded in 2001 and moved from Albion Mills, in Greengates to Acorn Park, in Shipley during 2004, before settling in its current premises back in 2013.

A group chat has been set up containing the employees to provide support and a method of communication during this difficult period.

The employee’s partner said: “Everyone is absolutely gutted and we’re trying to find out what we can do.”

The Telegraph & Argus has attempted to contact Neville Taylor and Connect Precision but has received no response.
