Two people have been released on bail as police continue to investigate a fight which broke out near a church in broad daylight. 

West Yorkshire Police was called out to an ongoing fight in Church Street, Brighouse - close to Jumble Dyke and St Matthew's Anglican and Methodist Church - at around 9.30am on Wednesday (May 15).

Two males were found with injuries which appeared to have been caused by a knife, police said.

Both males received treatment and were later arrested.

Police also seized two knives.

Both arrested males have been bailed pending further enquiries and the investigation remains ongoing, police confirmed on Thursday (May 16).

It is being treated as an isolated incident.
