BUS stops in Bradford city centre have been altered again, with 24 changes incoming, including two airport services.

New timetables and bus stops officially came into place on Sunday, April 14 as services began to be rerouted as part of the city centre's major transformation.

The focus has been on pedestrianising the area and the aim from that mid-April date onwards was for Bradford's buses to go around the core of the city centre, rather than through it.

There have been a multitude of issues though since then, including Bradford Council being forced to shut the new uphill lane and bus stop on Vicar Lane due to severe flooding on Bank Holiday Monday.

This caused damage to the road and when The Telegraph & Argus visited the site on Wednesday, it was cracked in parts with some spots lifted.

Meanwhile, Well Street - next to The Broadway Shopping Centre - has become a public transport corridor.

It has now been announced that 24 services will operate from new bus stops in the city centre from this Sunday.

These are buses: 72, 613, 614, 622, 626, 633, 635, 640, 641, 643, 644, 645, 662, 686, 688, 687, 671, 675, 677, 680, 864, A2, A3, X6.
