POLICE have arrested two men and seized knives after a fight broke out near a church in broad daylight.
West Yorkshire Police was called out to an ongoing fight in Church Street, Brighouse - close to Jumble Dyke and St Matthew's Anglican and Methodist Church - at around 9.30am on Wednesday (May 15).
Two males were found with injuries which appeared to have been caused by a knife, police said.
Both males received treatment and have since been arrested as enquiries continue into what is being treated as an isolated incident.
Two knives have also been seized.
Anyone who saw what happened, or has information that may assist this investigation, is asked to contact Calderdale District CID on 101 or use the livechat facility on West Yorkshire Police's website.

A police spokesperson said: "At 9.30am today (Wednesday), police received a report of an ongoing fight in Church Street, Brighouse where a male had suffered a facial injury.
"Officers attended and found two males with injuries which appeared to have been caused by a knife.
"Both males received treatment and have since been arrested as enquiries continue into what is being treated as an isolated incident. Two knives have also been seized.
"Anyone who saw what happened, or who has information that may assist this investigation is asked to contact Calderdale District CID on 101, or by using the livechat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting log 421 of 15 May.
