Jet2 and Jet2CityBreaks have “significantly” expanded flights and city breaks to Norway and its famous Fjords from Leeds Bradford Airport in 2025.

The most recent programme announced by the airline officially went on sale yesterday (May 14) with capacity more than doubling in response to demand from customers and independent travel agents across the UK.

The news comes after the companies’ 2024 programme of flights and city breaks to Norway commenced last month (April 25), marking the first time in over 15 years that Jet2.com has operated to Bergen.

Jet2 expands flights to Norway from Leeds Bradford Airport

The full Norway programme from Leeds Bradford Airport in 2025 is as follows:

  • 4 x breaks in total (up from three in 2024)
  • 2 x three-night midweek breaks departing on Monday, May 5 and May 12, 2025.
  • 2 x four-night long weekend breaks departing on Thursday, May 8 and May 15, 2025.

As well as giving customers access to Fjords such as Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord, the city of Bergen itself boasts a backdrop of “spectacular” mountains which are wrapped around a picturesque harbour lined with a variety of fashionable restaurants and bars.

This historic harbour district, Bryggen, is part of UNESCO’s World Heritage List and provides visitors with one of the world's “most significant” examples of the history and culture of a particular medieval settlement, explains Jet2.

Discover More packages to Bergen include flights with Jet2.com, including 22kg hold luggage, as well as 3, 4 and 4+-star accommodation and ATOL protection for £60 per person deposit.

Packages also include a full-day tour that features a boat trip along the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord from Flam to Gudvangem, as well as a “spectacular” mountain railway journey to Myrdal.

Brand-new routes to Norway have also gone on sale from Bristol, Edinburgh and London Stansted Airports.

As well as offering more choice for 2025, the airline has also brought forward its Bergen programme to earlier in the year, from April 10, 2025 - well ahead of the popular Easter holiday season.

With 31 departures to Bergen on sale across the UK in total next year, this means that seat capacity has more than doubled.

Best and Worst Airlines in the UK

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are just a few weeks on from launching flights and city breaks to Bergen and the Fjords for the first time in over 15 years, and the response from customers and independent travel agents has been incredible.

“That response means we are more than doubling the size of our Bergen programme for 2025, including the introduction of new routes from Bristol, Edinburgh and London Stansted for the first time, meaning we will operate to Norway from seven of our UK bases next year.”
