A POLICE cordon is in place at a Bradford business this morning as police engage with pro-Palestine protestors on the roof of a building.
A break-in was reported at Teledyne, at Airedale House, Acorn Park, in Shipley just before 4.30am today and emergency services found people on the roof of a building.
The site has been cordoned off as police engage with protesters, with a large emergency services presence at the scene.
Palestine Action confirmed this morning members of the group were "back on the roof" of Teledyne, which has been damaged.
The group said its activists are occupying Teledyne's roof and are "taking it apart".
Palestine Action claims the site makes weapons parts exported to Israel, but the T&A has been unable to verify these allegations.
A group of protesters are also waving flags and placards on the ground.
Loud music is being played and one protestor has a megaphone at the entrance to the industrial park, where Acorn Park and Otley Road meet.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 4.28am today (Wednesday), police received a report of people breaking into premises at the Acorn Park Industrial Estate in Shipley.
"Officers were deployed to the location and found four people on the roof of a building.
"Fire and ambulance were also requested to attend.
"Efforts are being made to engage with those on site, who are believed to be protestors.
"A cordon is currently in place around the site and a footpath from the canal has also been closed off while this incident continues."
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called to assist police this morning at Acorn Park.
"We sent one crew and the aerial ladder, but both have left the scene without involvement.
"A group manager remains at the scene liaising with officers."
Yorkshire Ambulance Service said paramedics were called as a precautionary measure.
