A MAN has avoided jail after being caught carrying a steak knife on a street near flats.
Kyle Rodbourne, 24, of Rosemount Walk, in Keighley, was sentenced for possessing a knife blade or sharp-pointed article in a public place at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court last Thursday.
He pleaded guilty to the offence at the same court on April 9.
The 24-year-old was caught with a steak knife in Parkwood Rise, in Keighley, on March 25 this year.
He was sentenced to four months in jail, suspended for 12 months.
The court also ordered for Rodbourne to be deprived of the knife.
