WORKS are continuing on a new Primark store in Bradford city centre.
Over the last few months, the clothing brand has been working on its new store in the former Debenhams unit in The Broadway as it prepares to move from the Kirkgate Shopping Centre.
Last week, the Telegraph & Argus reported signs for the new store had been seen on the exterior of the unit.
The signs said the retailer is getting ready for an autumn opening later this year.
Now Primark's branding is starting to appear inside The Broadway shopping centre.
The arches, surrounding the shop's entrance, are now blue.
What Primark has said
A spokesperson for Primark told the Telegraph & Argus in December last year: "Works are underway at Primark Bradford's new location in The Broadway shopping centre as we prepare for our move.
"We're excited to welcome our Bradford shoppers to the new look store next year and will share more details in due course.
"In the meantime, customers can continue to enjoy shopping in our Primark Bradford store in the Kirkgate Shopping Centre and can also go online to check availability before heading into store."
When did Bradford Debenhams close?
The Bradford Debenhams store closed in The Broadway in 2021.
The long-standing British high street name fell into administration in 2020 and was forced to shut its doors after 242 years.
It marked one of the UK’s biggest retail failures and resulted in more than 10,000 job losses.
