SEVEN new starter units could be built in a long standing industrial area of Bradford.
A planning application for new business units at the former Bowling Iron Works site have been submitted to Bradford Council by Z Khan, and would see 900 square metres of new industrial space built on the site – off Bowling Back Lane.
The site is currently used as open storage space, and the application describes the area as being one that is “in need of an uplift.”
It adds: “The site is in a sustainable location and benefits from bus routes located on Bowling Back Lane.
“The proposed industrial starter units will provide opportunities for existing businesses as well as potential new ones.
“The proposal will provide employment opportunities to support the local economy both directly and indirectly.”
A decision on the application is expected next month.
