AFTER seemingly never-ending rain and disappointing temperatures for spring, people of Bradford can expect a pleasant spell of weather this week.
Bank Holiday Monday saw flash floods hit Bradford and surrounding areas - but the coming days will bring much nicer conditions as high pressure builds across the UK.
According to the current Met Office forecast, temperatures will climb in Bradford as the week progresses.
We can expect a high of 18C today, 20C tomorrow, 21C on Friday and 22C on Saturday and Sunday.
However, the coming week will not necessarily bring unbroken sunshine.
In fact, there will be large areas of cloud at times as well as some morning mist and fog - as we saw earlier in Bradford today.
But the good news is no rain is currently forecast in Bradford for the rest of this week.
How long will the nice weather last?
The message is enjoy the fine conditions while you can - as unfortunately they won't last very long.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Sunday will likely be the last widely dry and fine day for a while, with warm sunshine for most.
"After Sunday, the weather is expected to switch back to become changeable across the country, with further spells of rain and showers expected.
"Rainfall amounts could be above average in most areas.
"It is also possible that rain will be heavy at times, and any showers could turn thundery.
"Temperatures are also expected to fall closer to average for May."
Looking further ahead, the spokesperson said: "For the end of May and the start of June, it will probably start off fairly unsettled with rain or showers for many, but also some sunny spells between, and slightly-above average temperatures.
"Through the period there are some tentative signs that conditions could become a little more settled in the south and east, with most of the rain reserved for the north and west.
"As we head into late-spring and early summer, it will naturally feel warm in any sunshine, especially when winds fall light."
