A man remains in police custody following an incident that sparked a huge emergency response in Pudsey.
Armed officers were called to an address on Mount Pleasant Road on Wednesday morning (May 1).
It followed reports that a man was "carrying a machete and behaving in a threatening manner".
Officers on the ground called in the assistance of the National Police Air Service (NPAS)' helicopter.
Heard above the Roker Lane and Fulneck areas, the police helicopter was called into action for 54 minutes in total.
The crew was helping the force with a suspect search.
A man was arrested and he remains in custody on Thursday (May 2).
Enquiries are ongoing, a police spokesperson said.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Armed officers arrested a man this morning from an address on Mount Pleasant Road, Pudsey after police received a call reporting a man had been carrying a machete and behaving in a threatening manner.
"No one was injured and the man remains in police custody at this time."
