BRADFORD (Park Avenue) are holding their first ever ‘Avey-Fest’ this Sunday at Horsfall, which will include two club themed matches, as well as a beer festival, street food vendors and market stalls.
Gates officially open from midday but even before then, Avenue are kindly playing host to two junior cup finals from 10:30am, with admission free for those who wish to head down to BD6 early.
Then, at 2pm on Sunday afternoon, there will be a game between Avenue’s staff and scholars.
The staff team will include the likes of James Hanson, current manager Danny Whitaker and sporting director Tom McStravick, as they look to teach Avenue’s teenage talents a footballing lesson.
At 5pm, a team made up of Avenue fans will play against club representatives.
The evening part of ‘Avey-Fest’, from 7pm onwards, will feature live music, a comedy night hosted by Louis Etienne and the presentation evenings of both the club’s scholars and first team.
Adult tickets for the festival cost £2, while Under-16s go free.
