TWO fish and chip shops in Pudsey and Farsley have been named among the best chippies in the UK.
Whether your go-to is a battered cod or a delicious fish supper, these popular spots were ranked in a top 12 list of fish and chip shops to try.
The data was gathered by Betway and based on the number of hashtags and views each location racked up on Instagram and Tripadvisor rankings.
The lower the overall index score, the higher the ranking, Betway said.
The Bearded Sailor in Pudsey came third in the country for its popularity.
It has a Tripadvisor score of 4.5, with previous reviews raving about "high quality food that’s cooked to perfection".
It comes weeks after the chippy made Fry Magazine's top 50 list in Britain for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile the award-winning Croft Street Fisheries in Farsley came 11th in the list.
One reviewer said it had "amazingly cooked food, perfect portion size, [and] standard prices".
It has a Tripadvisor score of 4.5.
Joint first place was awarded to East Coast, found in Musselburgh, Scotland, and Fish Lounge, South West London.
Jacksons, in Newton Abbot, Devon, came in fourth place.
In fifth place was Noah’s, Bristol.
