DRIVERS faced long delays on the M62 this morning due to a vehicle fire.
One lane was closed on the eastbound stretch of the motorway between junction 22, for Denshaw, and junction 23, for Huddersfield.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service was at the scene.
Shortly after 7am, a National Highways spokesperson said: "There are 30 minute delays on the M62 eastbound between junction 22 and junction 23 due to a vehicle fire.
"Lane one (of three) remains closed while West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service works at the scene."
The spokesperson said shortly after 8.30am that the scene was now clear and added: "All lanes are running.
"There are minimal residual delays in the area."
