EMERGENCY services are still at the scene of a serious collision involving a single motorcycle on the A65 at Settle.
Police say they are investigating the crash, which happened just after 1pm today (Wednesday), at the road's junction with Craven Bank Lane.
A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A police spokesperson said: "Ambulance, air ambulance, fire service and police teams have been in attendance during the afternoon."
The spokesperson added that the stretch of road will remain closed while police investigate the collision scene. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area until further notice and to follow diversions.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We received an emergency call at 1.05pm on Wednesday afternoon to report a collision involving a motorcycle on the A65 near Settle.
"Two ambulances, a doctor and air ambulance were dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed by helicopter to Leeds General Infirmary.”
