A huge police scene is in place on a residential Bradford street - with forensics officers in white suits among those in attendance.
Officers and fire crews have been scrambled to Shetland Close, off Farriers Croft, BD2. Two more detactives joined those already present at the scene shortly after 6pm.
One resident said armed police had been on the scene earlier, although these reports are unconfirmed.
The area is a residential estate off King's Road, in the Swain House area.
The Telegraph & Argus understands the cordon could be in place for several hours as investigations take place into what is clearly a very serious incident.
One woman has lived here just under 10 years and she said nothing ever happens like this. Neighbours have been here 18 and they've never had anything of the sort.
She had to abandon her car at the bottom of the road.
"It's so secluded, and there's so many kids, so many kids".
A man had just got in from work and arrived to this.
West Yorkshire Police has been contacted for comment.
