FLORAL tributes continue to flood in for a young woman who died after a horror crash on a Bradford road last Friday.
Police confirmed that a 20-year-old Bradford woman died in hospital after the crash on Baldwin Lane at the junction of Back Lane near Clayton village just after 1pm on Friday when a car collided with a wall.
A 21-year-old Keighley man was also taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Today, the T&A visited the scene of the crash and at least two dozen floral bouquets had been placed in memory of the young woman, who has been named locally as Khadeeja Mahmood.
In a post on Janaza Announcements’ Facebook page, it said that Khadeeja had "passed away in a tragic car accident".
Hundreds of people paid tribute to the young woman and their thoughts were also with her family.
One person on the Janaza page said: "Oh goodness 20-year-old. The family must be so, so distraught. May Allah bless her soul and grant the family strength and patience."
Another said: "Heart-breaking. My deepest thoughts are with her family and friends at this tragic time. RIP young lady.”
The Rev Kenny Brown, minister at Clayton Baptist Church, was sitting on a bench next to the junction of Baldwin Lane and Back Lane on Saturday and saying prayers for the woman and man.
“It’s indescribable,” said Rev Brown. “It’s such a tragic loss of life for a Bradford community.
“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of those affected, and our prayers are with them."
