BUILDING work on the structure of a new Co-op building is nearing completion.
The new store is taking shape on a long-empty piece of land in Bailiff Bridge - close to the former site of Clifton Mills at the junction of Bradford Road and Birkby Lane.
The site has been vacant for several years, but a huge building project is now well underway on the land.
The Co-op store is set to open its doors later in 2024, with a focus on fresh, healthy products; meal ideas, everyday essentials, food-to-go, chilled beers and award-winning wines, ready meals, pizzas, Fairtrade products and, free-from, vegan and plant-based products.
Work on the Co-op building has progressed well, with the walls and roof all-but-complete and attention set to turn to interior fit-out.
