EMERGENCY services scrambled to building collapse in a city centre this afternoon.
Police officers and fire crews rushed to Kirgate in Leeds just after 4pm to attend to the "dangerous structure".
Road closures are in place and police have asked people to avoid the area at this time.
Firefighters from four stations are currently at the scene.
Special teams from the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) and the Technical Rescue Unit are also in attendance.

A spokesperson for the service said: "We were called at 4.07pm by West Yorkshire Police to assist with a building collapse on Kirkgate in Leeds.
"We currently have several crews in attendance including; two crews from Leeds, and one crew from Hunslet.
"The technical rescue team from Cleckheaton
"The aerial ladder appliance from Wakefield.
"Work is ongoing at the building, we will provide a further update when we have one."
