A man who has been called a "danger to children" has been jailed for a sexual assault on a teenager in Bradford.
Christopher Lawson, 35, of no fixed abode, admitted the sexual assault on a female aged 16 and over. The victim was 17 at the time of the offence, which happened in Bradford.
Lawson was jailed at Bradford Crown Court on Monday, April 8, for three years and three months. He was also given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and is a registered sex offender.
Detective Sergeant Samantha Swift, of Bradford District's Child Safeguarding Unit, said: “We welcome the sentence handed down to Lawson, he is a danger to children.
“I would like to praise the victim’s bravery for coming forward and reporting it to police.
“I hope this gives confidence to any victims of sexual assault to report this to us. All reports are taken seriously and sensitively.
“We have specially-trained police officers here in Bradford and across West Yorkshire who will offer support and advice throughout.”
