A BUSINESS rang police with concerns about a van, which then turned out to have been stolen.
West Yorkshire Police's Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) received a call from a business in the Batley area on Tuesday.
It raised concerns about a white Ford Transit van being parked outside the business premises.
Officers went to the area and conducted enquiries into the vehicle.
They discovered that the van had been stolen from the Morley area, in Leeds the day before, on April 8.
The van was seized and its owners were informed.
A spokesperson for the force said: "A call was received from a business in Batley yesterday who had concerns about the below van being parked outside their business premises.
"Officers from Batley & Spen NPT attended and conducted enquiries into it.
"The van had been stolen from the Morley area on 8th April 2024.
"The van was seized and owners were made aware."
