A BRADFORD woman stole almost £400 of food from a supermarket in a historic spa town.
Marguerite Blamires, of Heysham Drive, in Holme Wood, was sentenced for two counts of theft from a shop and failing to surrender to police or court bail at the appointed time, at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court on March 25.
The 47-year-old first stole £192 of a variety of foodstuffs from the Asda superstore, in Bower Road, Harrogate, on August 16 last year.
She then stole £194.50 of similar items from the same store just five days later, on August 21.
The other offences relate to not turning up for court on October 27, 2023 and also on December 28, 2023.
Blamires pleaded guilty to all offences at previous hearings.
She was given a 12-month community order which included up to 30 Rehabilitation Activity Requirement (RAR) days.
The court ordered her to pay £154 in total.
