THERE were delays on multiple rail services this morning as engineers examined a problem on the tracks.
Northern Rail posted on X at 7.05am to say a number of services running in and out of Leeds may be delayed due to "possible damage to the overhead wires".
The routes affected included trains to and from Bradford Forster Square, Ilkley, Skipton, York via Harrogate, Morecambe, and Carlisle.
A spokesperson said engineers were "examining the affected train".
Lines were reopened as of 7.41am.
A spokesperson for Network Rail said: "Trains may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 25 minutes as services return to normal.
"This is expected until 08.45."
