ANOTHER 11 untaxed and "nuisance" vehicles have been removed from Bradford's streets.
Bradford Council was granted new enforcement powers last December, giving officers the authority to remove, store and dispose of untaxed vehicles.
The Bradford district is only the second authority in West Yorkshire to have been granted these powers.
Today, a Council spokesperson said: "Our highways enforcement officers have seized another 11 untaxed, nuisance vehicles.
"This is using powers that allow us to remove vehicles without valid tax and also vehicles with a Statutory Off Road Notification from adopted and unadopted highways or open-air land such as supermarket car parks.
"The latest batch have come from streets in Silsden, Utley, Riddlesden, Braithwaite, Great Horton, Girlington, Manningham and Oakenshaw."
In March, the Council said in the first three months of 2024, officers had removed 44 vehicles and seven caravans from the highway.
Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council's executive member for regeneration, planning and transport, said: "The action taken so far sends a clear message that we will act to remove illegal vehicles from our roads.
"Operations will be continuing across the district throughout the year.”
