A CAR repair workshop could be installed in the car park of a local Morrisons if new plans are approved.
Proposals to install a Direct Line “pod” in the car park of the Thornbury branch of the retail giant have been submitted to Bradford Council.
The hub would be installed at the North side of the supermarket’s large car park, and provide small scale car repairs.
The application says: “Direct Line offers minor vehicle body repairs to vehicles which have no structural damage and do not require to be taken off the road into a traditional body shop.
“On average a repair takes three to four hours and customers are provided with a courtesy car which allows them to go about their normal business.
“Once the vehicle is completed the customer will collect their vehicle and return the hire car.
“Technology has improved dramatically over the last 10 years which allows vehicle body panels to be repaired quickly and safely.
“Wm Morrison Supermarkets Ltd would also add that Direct Line offer a service which is highly valued by Morrisons customers and firmly aligns with their plan to bring more and more popular and useful services to the communities that they serve.”
A decision on the application is expected next month.
