TWO fashion brands have worked together to release a new skirt collection.
Textile firms Marton Mills in Otley and Macclesfield-based Elkin are collaborating on a fashion- forward spring/summer tweed skirt collection.
Both businesses are family-run from long-established heritage textile mills.
The skirts, which are designed in-house at Elkin, showcase Marton Mills' signature tweeds and the unique hand-pleating and finishing that has built Elkin's reputation over its 68-year history.
Bill Gorton, owner of Elkin, said: "We have used Marton Mills fabrics for many years. Both our businesses have a rich heritage in textiles, and this collaboration allows us to combine our expertise to bring something really special to our customers."
Francis Dodson, sales director at Marton Mills, said: "This exciting partnership comes at a time when UK textile businesses are benefiting from the fashion world valuing the quality of British craftsmanship and its part in the slow fashion landscape."
