MULTIPLE motor offences were dealt with by police as part of an operation.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) worked with local ward councillors in the Heckmondwike area on Operation Trimburg on Saturday evening.
The initiative focuses on targeting the fatal four offences - speeding, drink and drug driving, driving while distracted, and non-wearing of seatbelts - and anti-social driving.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Intelligence is fed into the operation by the Kirklees ward councillors from members of the community."
Officers dealt with five offences during the night of March 23.
This included: two people speeding, one person driving without due care and attention, and one driver running a red light.
One individual was handed a Section 59 anti-social behaviour warning, while officers also submitted an intelligence form in relation to repeat offenders.
