FOOTAGE has captured the moment a huge stream of water blasted into the air in Bradford city centre.

A video taken by a passer-by shows the water shooting upwards from roadworks near The Broadway shopping centre on Tuesday afternoon.

The street, between Broadway and Little Germany, is currently being changed from a pedestrian space to a new bus route.

The stream of water was caused by a hydrant issue that lasted for almost an hour.

Contractor Balfour Beatty apologised for any inconvenience caused.
