FOUR men have been arrested after a police chase ended in a crash that hospitalised a passenger of a car.
West Yorkshire Police began pursuing a Volvo XC60 after it failed to stop for officers in Calderdale Way, Elland, shortly after 5.30pm on Monday.
Footage seen by the Telegraph & Argus shows a Volvo with a traffic cone underneath the front of it, driving down a road, followed closely behind by four marked police cars and an unmarked vehicle with their blue lights on.
A spokesperson for the force said the Volvo was involved in a collision with a BMW not long after the chase began, in Skircoat Moor Road, near Savile Park, in Halifax.
The Volvo looked to be badly smashed at the front with its rear end lifted in the air, in a video seen by the T&A.
A passenger from the BMW was rushed to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers arrested four males, aged 16, 19, 19, and 20, on suspicion of various offences.
These included dangerous driving, failing to stop, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.
All four males remain in custody currently.
