TOWNS and cities in West Yorkshire are among the very best places to live in the UK, according to The Sunday Times.
Saltaire, Skipton, Boston Spa and Leeds all made the list of the best places to live.
The paper described Saltaire as 'a fancy, funky and functional village vibe within commuting distance of Leeds and Bradford'.
While Skipton was described as a 'hearty market town has all you need for a happy life on the edge of the Dales'.
Boston Spa was preferred over serial winner Harrogate. the paper said: 'Move over Harrogate and put a spring in your step — this village’s Costcutter offers fine wines.'
But the overall regional winner was Leeds, which is described as 'the best and buzziest city in the north'.
