WORKS has been underway at a historic Bradford hotel.
The landmark Grade II-listed Midland Hotel is on Cheapside - across the road from The Broadway shopping centre.
It was bought by the Britannia Hotels chain last April after being put on the market for £3 million.
In January, the hotel, which is still open as normal, said it was having work done on its French Ballroom and restaurant over the "next couple of months".
As many of you would have noticed when travelling through the city centre, scaffolding had been in place around the hotel.
This was while work was underway to restore the hotel's roof and dome to their "original glory".
Located next to Bradford Forster Square Station, the hotel was built by the Midland Railway Company.
Former guests of the Midland have included Laurel and Hardy, The Beatles, Sean Connery, George Formby, Bram Stoker, JB Priestley, Winston Churchill, and Harold Wilson.
