17 DRIVERS were reported for traffic offences during a police operation in Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police were checking if vehicles were roadworthy yesterday (Friday) evening.
The offences included failing to wear seat belts, using handheld mobile phones and driving without due care and attention.
A silver Toyota was prohibited from being driven due to dangerous bodywork and a defective handbrake.
A Prohibition Notice was issued and the driver was reported.

Of the 37 Private Hire vehicles tested, 17 were found to have defects serious enough to warrant suspension of their permits.
One of the vehicles was also seized for no insurance.
It was all part of a joint operation with Bradford Council's Private Hire Licensing team.
The Operation Steerside Team said: "Further operations are being planned for the future.
"We will continue to act, working with our partners, to keep the roads safe for all of us."
