A SECTION of a Bradford road is set to close for seven weeks for sewer repairs.
Yorkshire Water will be carrying out essential sewer repairs on Norman Lane in Eccleshill from Monday, March 25.
Due to the complex nature of the work a section of the road, between Lavender Hill and Stonefield Close, will be closed for approximately seven weeks.
There will be a diversion route in place whilst the work is in progress. The work will be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Yorkshire Water says it, and its service partners Avove, will be working hard to repair the damaged sewer and reinstate the road as soon as possible.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “We apologise for the inconvenience the closure of a section of Norman Road will cause.
"We will be working as quickly as possible to complete the repairs.
"Due to the location of the sewer, a road closure is required to ensure our partners can complete the work safely.
“Our customer team will be visiting local businesses and residents this week to provide details of the road closure and the nature of the work, and we’re doing everything we can to reduce any disruption this might cause.”
