A PERSON was injured and rushed to hospital after a car overturned on major road this afternoon (Tuesday).
The crash took place on Whitechapel Road near the village of Scholes in Cleckheaton at around 3pm today.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "We are aware and have deployed police officers to this road traffic collision which happened at 3pm today."
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We got a call at 3.06pm this afternoon to an one-vehicle road traffic collision on Whitechapel Road.
"The car had turned over and one patient was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary."
A local resident also told the T&A that the emergency services were still at the scene this evening and that a police cordon was in place and the road was closed.
