A MALE has been arrested for a number of offences following a police pursuit which ended in a multiple-vehicle crash on a Bradford road this afternoon (Tuesday).
The dramatic crash which involved several vehicles happened on Barkerend Road shortly after 3pm today.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police attended a road traffic collision on Barkerend Road, Bradford, shortly after 3pm today.
"The vehicle, which collided with several others, was being pursued by police when the collision happened.
"A male has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police."
The crash caused traffic chaos and diverted buses from the area.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, First West Yorkshire said: "SERVICE ALERT- X11, 671. Due to a police incident at Barkerend Road is blocked. X11 diverting via Killinghall Road, Leeds Road, in both directions. 671 diverting via Pollard Lane, Undercliffe Lane, Otley Road, in both directions."
