A MAN was found with extreme pornography on his mobile phone after police traced an internet connection linked to indecent images of children to his device, a court heard.

When arrested by officers in April 2021 Tahir Khan expressed “shock” and initially denied any offences.

However his phone was seized and a forensic investigation later found 50 indecent images of children on it, including four involving bestiality.

Prosecutor Lauren Smith told Bradford Crown Court that Khan, 41, of Heaton Grove, later pleaded guilty to making indecent photographs of children and possession of extreme pornography dating back to 2017.

Mitigating, Jeremy Barton said Khan had accepted his guilt and that his actions had “caused a great deal of humiliation for him".

He was said to be a man of previous good character.

His Honour Judge Jonathan Gibson imposed an 18-month community order on Khan, ordered him to carry out 32 rehabilitation requirement days, and imposed a three-month curfew running from 10pm to 6am.
