YET another uninsured car has been seized by police in the Bradford district.
Officers from Shipley Neighbourhood Policing Team stopped the Renault Clio in the area last night
A spokesperson from the team said: "Checks conducted showed the driver did not have a valid policy of insurance.
"The car was seized and the driver reported for the offence."
It is illegal to drive a vehicle on a road or in a public place without at least third-party insurance.
The police can check on the spot if your vehicle is insured using the Motor Insurance Database.
If it isn't, they can seize it immediately - even if you then arrange insurance at the roadside.
Punishments for driving without insurance can include a substantial fine, points on your licence and even a disqualification from driving.
